From the manufacturer of the popular condensing boiler comes the Phoenix condensing water heater designed for combined hydronic applications.

Phoenix is the pinnacle of 10 years
of product evolution and field exper-
ience resulting in a super durable,
reliable, quiet & cost effective ultra
high efficiency water heater.

Super Efficient
  · 96% combustion efficiency
  · 2" foam insulation (0.5%/hr)
    standby loss
  · Load matching modulation
  · No standing pilot light

Super Durable
  · 316L stainless steel tank
  · Cupernickle/stainless steel comb-
    ustion chamber
  · Millions of key components in use
    worldwide
  · Reduced cycling adds component
    life
  · 30 years of tank know-how and
    75,000 condensing water
    heaters installed.

Compact
A Phoenix is only 24" wide, uses
only 5 sq ft of floor space and is
rated zero clearance to combustible
surfaces.

Super Reliable
  · Spark ignition
  · Euro reliable and field tested
    components

Super Quiet
  · Whisper quiet: .45dB at 5ft

Lots of Hot Water
girlModern homes with multiple bathrooms and whirlpool baths need high capacity water heaters to meet the large peak loads. Phoenix is the perfect fit.

The Right Choice: LowNoxearth
The Phoenix reduces
carbon emissions over
standard efficiency
heaters by TONS over 10
years.

Affordable
High efficiency is more cost effective
and easier to install than ever.

How Phoenix Works
The Phoenix is a super insulated
stainless steel water storage tank
fitted with a combustion chamber
submerged in the tank water. When
the burner is fired, the hot combus-
tion gases heat the combustionhowitworks
chamber walls,
transferring the
heat directly to the
surrounding water.
The hot gases are
gases are blown
into the secondary
heat exchange
coils where even
more heat is transferred to the water condensing the combustion gases. Finally, the cool, LowNox combustion air is vented via plastic pipe to the outdoors.

Why Modulation Matters
The Phoenix electronic control a
adjusts the burner fire rate to match
demand exactly. The burner fire rate
increases as the demand increases
and decreases as the hot water
chart
demand approaches the required
temperature set point. This load
matching modulation dramatically
reduces on/off cycling, resulting in
longer component life, reliability and
higher system efficiency.

Flexible PVC Venting
Phoenix can exhaust up to 100 ft
equivalent feet with flexible venting
options to meet the requirements
of any job.

Three Tank Sizes
The system designer can select
from three tanks sizes to match
peak hot water demand requirements of the project.

  Flexible System Distribution
flexsystem   Design

  With Phoenix, the
  designer has the
  choice of different
  type of heat distrib-
  ution to solve heat-
ing & cooling, zoning, ducting and
  comfort challenges. These types of
distribution can be used solely or
  combined within a given building.

  Radiant Heatingradiant
  · Unsurpassed comfort
  · No ducting
  · Easy zoning
  · Super quiet

airhandler  Air Handlers
  · Heating & cooling with DX
    or chilled water
  · Reduced ducting with
    multiple units
  · Easy zoning with multiple
    units
  · No vent or gas line
  · 2-stage or variable speed

fanconvector
  Fan Convectors
  · No ducting required
  · Individual room zoning
  · Many styles: Kickspace,
    wall types, floor models

Real Whole House Efficiency:   Lower Operating Cost
  Using one super efficient Phoenix
hot water heat source to provide
  both water and space heating
provides the fastest payback on your
investment by saving energy in two
  ways.

In many homes, the annual dome-
stic hot water load and space heat-
  ing load are approximately equal.
A high efficiency furnace only does
  ½ the job.

Hot Water Zoning Saves   Energy & Space
Zoning lowers energy bills by allow-
ing the end user to reduce energy
use in unoccupied areas. Hot water
from the Phoenix can flow to remote-
ly located air handlers, fan convect-
  ors, radiant heating, etc., reducing
  or eliminating duct energy losses
  while very cost effectively providing
  energy efficient zoning.

  This strategy reduces space require-
  ments, system energy usage and
  reduces the installed cost over
  homes using multiple furnaces and
  water heaters.
