SuperStor® Contender® Solar Water Heater
The SuperStor® Contender® Solar Water Heater from HTP harnesses the power of the sun to provide ample hot water while reducing energy costs and pollution. The water heater’s unique smooth surface heat exchanger design resists lime build-up, which can reduce performance and component life. The tank is constructed of glass-lined steel and includes an oversized anode rod to protect against tank corrosion. The SuperStor Contender Solar Water Heater is available in two designs: SE models contain an electrical back-up element, and SB models contain an additional internal heat exchanger for boiler back-up. If the sun is not providing enough solar energy to meet the hot water demand, the back-up system will take over seamlessly. With three gallon sizes available, the SuperStor Contender Solar can be used in both commercial and residential applications.
